Our Engineers at ActIn Space 2026

The Van Allen Foundation is proud to have sponsored the ActInSpacefr hackathon in Montpellier, an international event conceived by CNES and the European Space Agency (ESA).

In just 24 hours, nearly 80 participants took on an ambitious challenge:

  • Designing an innovative solution,
  • Coming up with a start-up idea,
  • And pitch their project to a jury of experts.

Among the jury members was Isabelle Lagracie, Director of Development and Sponsorship at the #FVA.

The teams were also supported by dedicated coaches, including three engineers from the Montpellier University Space Center (CSUM):

  • Amaury Knockaert and Allan Badian, embedded software engineers,
  • Oriane Rouher, systems engineer.

This was a wonderful initiative carried out as part of the COMETES program—Skills and Professions for Space, Serving Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Youth.
