End of life of our nanosatellite : ENSO
Launched on December 1, 2023, the #nanosatellite #ENSO completely disintegrated without leaving any debris when it entered the Earth’s atmosphere on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after spending nearly two years in #orbit!
To celebrate the end of its life, our team of radio amateurs launched a final challenge to the international radio ham community: “Who will receive ENSO’s last signal?” The big winner is #VU2JEK (India). Congratulations and thank you to him for this valuable information. Thanks to the help of radio amateurs around the world, we know that the last beacon was transmitted at around 6:15 UTC over India!
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the radio amateurs: #CM8HEA (Cuba), #SV2HWM (Greece), #BG7XTQ (China), and #EA4SG (Spain) for sharing ENSO’s final orbits with us! A big thank you to the SatNOGS community for tracking the satellite throughout its lifetime. The result of a collaboration between Expleo Group and #CSUM, ENSO combines the expertise of #Expleo with CSUM’s knowledge and experience in platforms, nanosatellite launches, and training in the space industry. It’s a real success!
